The design challenge of building a lean to greenhouse on an uneven clay pit surface was met by the use of BUBBLES as they can settle perfectly on to any shaped surface. The bubbles were made of hexagons, copying insects’ eyes and honeycombs. Guess thats why they have this huge bee artwork just outside the entrance to the Biomes!

This particular olive tree was brought to Eden from Sicily, it is too old to still produce olives, but there are younger olive trees which have been planted.
Olives have wonderful life giving properties. Olives are shown to help deter heart disease and reduce cholesterol levels. The Mediterranean diet, which is rich in olives & olive oil, is one of the healthiest in the world.
A little known fact about olive oli was its use as an embalming fluid for the dead.
