The redecorared room
I used to be at the pub quiz back in Hannover every week. Since I moved to Düsseldorf I haven't found a pub that has a quiz evening around here...so I have been on a cold quiz turkey for almost a year now!
Then in Darlington I not only played my 2nd quiz in one week - we even won!! Not because I knew all the answers though.... in fact the quiz was much more difficult than the ones in Germany and I hardly knew any answer!
Darlington is a market town situated in the north-east of England.It has one of the largest outdoor markets in the country,which is open every Saturday and Monday.
Darlington is also famous as the birthplace of the railways.

1825.....The opening of the worlds first passenger railway...Darlington to Stockton.
The first journey took 2 hours to cover 9 miles.

This water well was closed off in the late 1800s after several hundred years of serving the population of Darlington.During work on repaving in 1992 the well was discovered again and the pump was replaced.
