Darlington Coaches
Apart from the engines I really loved looking at these carriages for first and second class passengers with all the luggage stowed on top. Note the upholstered seating in the central First Class compartment for added comfort. They are a real throw back to the horse drawn road coaches of the early 19th century. These coaches date from the 1940's and are on loan to the museum here from the National Railway Museum in York.
