The brick train - world famous in Darlington ;)
The South Park is a large park with an aviary , a skating rink , bowling green, a pond full of ducks & swans , childrens area , large playing fields & the river Skerne runs through the centre.The park has numerous beautiful flower beds & footpaths.
The old Darlington to Stockton railway line is now used as a public bridleway.These photos show the 3 mile stretch from near our home to the village of Middleton - st. - George. The photos in our second travelogue show parts of the bridleway that is being re-constructed.
