Stay a night in the castle

University college is so called because it is where the university began as the third University of England after Oxford & Cambridge in 1832.

It's more normally refered to as "Castle College" and when the students are out the tourists are in.

You can stay between March 21st and April 22nd and again between 3rd July and the end of September.

The standard of the normal rooms (fourty six quid for a double without an en-suite) is a little steep considering it is only student accommodation.
On the other hand you get to stay in a very historic building, have breakfast in the great hall and will get a free tour of the castle thrown in as well.

Unique Quality: There are also some 'Special rooms' such as the Bishop's Room which is featured in the Photo. At One hundred and sixty pounds a night it would put many five-star hotel to shame. With a couple of rooms to play with, a four poster bed, 17th century tapestries on the wall and a great view, what more could you want ?
