More about Easedale Lodge
Best B&B we have visited
We have just returned from a most enjoyable stay at the Easedale Lodge.
When we were looking for somewhere to stay for a special occasion I used tripadvisor and was surprised at the number of good reports for this B & B
I have to say that the reports were not wrong the accommodation was excellent the breakfasts great and Bob was a brilliant host who advised on places to visit, arranged restaurant bookings and generally looked after us as long lost friends.
When we go back to Ambleside we will definitely return to Easedale Lodge.
ps the parking on site is a bonus in a town where general parking can be a major problen
We arrived on Thurs 13th September and being familar with Ambleside we found the B&B easily, with no problems. Parking is a massive bonus in such a busy town as Ambleside although carpark very small. We stayed in room 7 which was very modern and had fantastic views of the fells which is a view you never tire of seeing! It has an en-suite bathroom with a brilliant shower, ideal after a busy day sightseeing or walking. Breakfasts were fantastic! We were very impressed by the personal service provided by Bob & Margeret, they made us feel very welcome and catered for our every need. This isnt your usual B&B its better. I cant state enough about how Bob & Margeret are fantastic hosts and it clearly shows that they love what they do. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Ambleside. Rob & Nicki
Nice but pricey
We stayed 2 nights in Easedale Lodge and it was comfortable and in a central location. The decor is modern and the bathroom new and clean. Breakfast was good (although sitting in the conservatory right next to the slow one-way system made me feel like I was in a goldfish bowl!) with tinned fruit, cereal and cooked breakfast (hash browns much appreciated).
On the downside, room 1 was small and quite noisy as other doors were banging loudly through both nights (fire doors I guess). Bob offered to book a restaurant so we went with his recommendation (Thai - v nice) and asked him to book it.... which he didn't. Also, as the car park is small, guests leave their car keys so he can rearrange cars. One afternoon we dropped off the car and popped into town for 5 mins to pick up a paper. Even though we were not blocking anyone in, by the time we got back there was a note saying how guests MUST leave their keys. We felt told off! In summary, nice place but for £90 we would have expected more....
Thoroughly Enjoyable - Home from Home
We received a warm welcome from Margaret on our arrival, and knew immediately that we had chosen the right place. Both Bob and Margaret were very friendly, and gave us some helpful guidance on what to do whilst in Ambleside. If you're looking for a very well kept place, with good breakfasts and a friendly atmosphere - this is the place to come. We'll be back again as soon as we get chance.
the moment we walked through the door we felt we were home the welcome we got was next to none.we stayed in room 2 which was comfertable clean and tidy we could not of asked for better. the breakfast was excellent it sets you up for the rest of the day and at night we went for a lovely meal whitch was kindly booked for us by bob. we will be back in the very near furture pity we cant stay every weekend

Easedale - what a fab place to stay
Our stay at the Easdale lodge this summer was fantastic. Bob and Margaret are two of the most friendly and accomodating hosts that we have met, nothing is to much trouble for them. We were made to feel welcome throughout our stay , the room was furnished to a high standard, bright and modern, breakfast was relaxed and first class. We would recommend their guest house to anyone visiting Ambleside.
Great place to stay
What a fantastic place. The accomodation and welcome are second to none. Bob and Margaret can't do enough for you, whether it be recommending walks or places to eat or to visit. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifiully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order so always wonderfully cooked. Will definately be back next year.
A great find
A fantastic place to stay in the Lakes. Ambleside is probably the best town in the Windermere area to stay and this B&B is the best B&B in Ambleside.
The general accommodation is excellent and spotless, the bedrooms are clean and well appointed, and the breakfast is second to none.
The owners are really friendly and will do almost anything to please, they are also a font of all knowledge with regards to the local area and can point you in the direction of excellent places to eat (and they will even book them up for you).
Really enjoyed our stay at Easedale, and will definitely return.
Wonderful central B&B
We stayed at Easedale Lodge over a weekend in August this year. What a wonderful find right in the centre of the village.
We were made to feel very welcome and given helpful advice on where to visit and eat. Our room had a fresh modern feel, with flat screen TV, comfy beds & new clean ensuite. Breakfast in the morning was great - set us up for the day.
If you want to be central and are looking for a good quality B&B - with parking - then I would highly recommend Easedale Lodge.
Thanks for a great stay - we will be back soon!!!!

Absolutely wonderfull B&B
My husband and I stayed here in Sept 2007. It's our third visit to Ambleside but our first to Easdale Lodge. By far the best B&B we've stayed in to date. Rooms are beautifully decorated in a modern yet homely way. A welcoming retreat after a hard days walking. The attention to detail & uniqueness is second to none. The rooms are so fresh & clean. Bob is friendly & willing to help in any way possible.
Hopefully we will be able to return soon.
