We stayed at Keswick Country House Hotel for 2 nights with a deal that included breakfast and 3 course meal at night. The food at night was really good. We liked the hotel, the staff were helpful and friendly. It was in a good location. The hotel grounds were pretty and well maintained. We will definately be going back to this hotel again.
Stayed for 2 nights in a twin room with breakfast and evening meal.
The hotel is a grand old building with plenty of comfortable lounge/ sitting areas.
Everywhere seemed to be kept clean and tidy and could see no evidence of shabbiness or threadbare carpets as mentioned in some other revue.
The twin room was comfortable with a tv and tea and coffee making facilities.
Bathroom was very large but basic.
Both myself and my wife enjoyed the food, breakfast being self service with a choice of the usual juices, cereals and fruit followed by a good selection on the hot buffet for the full english.
Evening meal was 3 coarse with a decent choice.
This was a Winter mid week break and for what we paid It was good value.
The only negative was the price of drinks in the hotel bar which explains why it was quiet, the town centre is only a 5 minute walk away from a good selection of pubs.
We spent 5 nights at the Keswick hotel and had a truly relaxing break. The view from our room on the second floor to the surrounding fells was stunning (we were in room 204). The staff were all welcoming and the hotel was very clean. The food was beautiful with a fresh and carefully thought-out menu on offer every night - we really couldn't have asked for more. The bar was a bit on the pricey side and the general decor of the hotel was a little old fashioned but apart from this, the hotel is a gem. It is superbly located -a stones-throw from the centre of Keswick. We hope to return again soon.
Having just returned from a 2 night stay at the hotel, we were very impressed. The food was excellent and the staff were very polite and helpful. Will definately return.
