A traditional old coaching house, the Kings Arms sits right in the centre of Keswick, so is very handy indeed for all of the towns attractions.
The yard of the hotel contains a restaurant, a pizzeria and a bar called Casablanca. This used to be a piano bar, with occasional Sax accompaniment and it was quite relaxed and laid back. We loved it. Now it's more like any other bar, but still nice.

Not a good night's sleep

We had a room looking out onto Keswick main street, fabulously central but. At midnight all of Keswick's many pubs discharge onto the high street. At 3 AM Kings Arms own night club does same. Noisy! We could hear every word, every song, every laugh. Awake half the night. Otherwise room was brilliant (four poster bed!!!) with excellent en suite and fluffy towels and fluffy dressing gowns. Room rather hot but having the window open meant even more noise. Full Cumbrian breakfast (sausage, bacon, egg, beans, fried bread, mushrooms, black puuding, potato and toast) was generous but a little over cooked.

It has no carpark but you can get for a £20 deposit a parking permit for the central car park which backs onto the hotel but you'll be lucky if you can find a space to park in!

Unique Quality: Four poster bed. We enjoyed it. Also Keswick's only night club. We didn't.

Never stayed here, but used the bar now and then and eaten in the restaurant & pizzeria and been in the Casablanca bar many times.
