sorry did not enjoy our stay.
regrettably i cannot recommend the brantwood hotel in stainton. purely on the experience that my husband and i had on our wedding anniversary weekend. the hotel needs updating and the grounds were much much smaller than it read in the deyails neverthe less we were looking forward to having a romantic evening meal but my husband injured his head on a low door frame and ended up lying down most of the evening and could not face dinner.
we asked that this bad incident be taken into consideration when paying our bill but the manager took full payment and did not even apologise for the spoilt weekend.
Unique Quality: near to what i consider to be the best lake ullswater.
