The BEST hotel in the Lake District!!

Me and my fiance spent 3 wonderfull days and nights at Linthwaite House Hotel, and we could not fault a thing!
The service was outstanding and the food was out of this world... i would recommend to anyone to go to this hotel, if you are wanting a nice quiet hotel with superb views over Lake Windermere.
We Stayed in a superior room and it was certainly superior it had beautiful views across the gardens and was modern in decoration.
I will certainly be returning!!

Fantastic hotel in lovely setting with spectacular views. All staff were friendly, attentive but not intrusive. Attention to detail in bedroom and public rooms were a joy to appreciate. Food was of a SUPERB QUALITY. We were a little concerned at first at the Nouveau Cuisine portions but in all honesty there was more than enough to keep us both happy even my husband who is known to like quantity on his plate. Would recommend to family and friends looking for a relaxing getaway break. I would have been quite happy to spend the whole of my two day break in the Hotel and their lovely grounds. Only downside is that it is pricey, but as we booked through laterooms we feel we had it at a good price. Can't wait to go back again!

This hotel was beautiful. The location was fantastic. The service was first class. The food was lovely. We stayed in a superior room, which was lovely but the bathroom let it down a little.
However the service more than made up for it. We ate in the hotel on teh first night and it was a real experience. We had drinks and canapes in the conservatory and had our orders taken before we were shown through to the dining room. After a beautiful meal we had our coffee, petit fours and more drinks back in the conservatory. All the time the staff were very friendly and professional.

A: "From Oxenholme take the Transpennine Express to Windemere. Journey time is between 20 and 30 minutes depending on time of day.
An off-peak Day Return costs just under..."
