"Ferry Ride To Ambleside"

I took the ferry over to Ambleside, walked around a bit, and then walked back. This was a great plan except that there are sections of the road between the two towns that don't have much of a sidewalk. Other than that - very pleasant!

"Down By The Water"

Here's where you can catch the ferry. There's also an ice cream shop down there. Even in the rain, ice cream still tastes pretty darn good!

"Trails And More Trails"

The trail systems here are amazing and provide a great view. The private land owners allow the public to respectfully follow the trails that go through their land.

Here's a trail with stone steps leading over the wall.

The landowners are generous enough to allow the public on their land. Please be courteous and stay on the marked trails. You might even find yourself with some friendly trailmates like I did!
