Very good self catering cottage
We stayed in the Bakewell area at Barn Close Cottage near Carsington Water. The cottage is only in its second season (in 2008) and is by far one of the best we have ever stayed on. The cottage is an add on to the main farm house and is well furnished and tastefully decorated. It is suitable for four people - there are two bedrooms - one with a double bed and one with twin beds. The lounge and kitchen area looks out on to one of the best views in Derbyshire and the hosts are wonderful and friendly people who made us very welcome.
The cottage is well equipped with everything you could need including a DVD player and dishwasher.
Unique Quality: A very high standard in self catering accommodation.
