The property has a bit of a motel feel to it, fairly basic but clean and quite new looking. The well decorated rooms are small but comfortable with a writing desk, chairs and a TV. The bathroom has a great shower with plenty of room. A rather disturbing sign on the bathroom door says “Please close the door when taking a shower as the steam can activate the fire alarm”. I had visions of hoards of half naked people rushing out into the car park at 8.00am but thankfully it never happened.
They have a small restaurant area for breakfast and evening meals and there is an American style restaurant called Damon’s next door. Decent value for money, around £190 for a single room with king size bed for three nights, breakfast is extra at about £7. I’d certainly consider staying there again if I was going to watch cricket but might also try to find something a bit more convenient for the centre.
