Kedleston Hall is a classical Palladian mansion built for the Curzon family between 1759 and 1765. It has one of the best examples of Robert Adams interiors in England which has seen very little alteration since its completion. Kedleston Hall is only 6 miles or so from Derby city centre, but is a world away and a great place to unwind.
The grim Facade of County Gaol, Derby, is the remains of hte jail which was demolished in 1928.
People were previously hanged at the gates, and ghosts have been reported here.

The Derby Industrial Museum contains a major collection of aero engines made by famous Rolls-Royce of Derby. There are also many models, films and pictures of the vehicles Rolls-Royce powered on land. Sea and air.
