It is a long time since I have been to watch Derby County play, when I did they played at the Baseball Ground. They have since moved to Pride Park, a purpose built stadium on the outskirts of Derby. To watch the match the only equipment you really need is a good strong voice to sing your club`s songs and encourage the team and your eyes to actually watch the game, some people do take a pair of binoculars if they sit far from the pitch.
Apart from the above the club s encourage you to buy their merchandise to enhance your matchday experience, you can buy virtually anything from hats and scarfs to the full blown replica kit, which generally is updated annually.

The Guildhall

by Imbi

The Guildhall with its high clock tower dates from 1845 and at one time housed the Council Chamber and police cells. These Police cells were dark, chilly tunnel. Prisoners used to be kept in those cells and one of the known prisoners who was kept here was Alice Wheeldon.

Easter weekend in Derby

by bonio

A visit with a couple of friends for two days.
Mrs Bonio and friend mostly interested in shopping, Mr Bonio and friend mostly interested in real ale!
We did manage an afternoon in Matlock Bath and a little time exploring the town as well.
A comfortable hotel and some good eating places to mention.
