    Quality and Hospitality

    by

I must admit that it has been a couple of years since I last stayed here and at that time the hotel was run by a different group but I feel justified in putting this tip here as I know the new company quite well and know that their ethos of quality will definitely have improved on what was already a good upper mid-market hotel and probably taken it firmly into the mid upper-market.

Brend Hotels, who now run The Imperial, are a small-ish South West hotel group with 2 Cornwall hotels and 9 in Devon and do have a positive commitment to quality, without being too expensive and often have some really good deals for 3+ day stays even during the summer months.

For a North Devon base, Barnstaple is ideal, and The Imperial with its town location allows both easy access to the local facilities as well as being convenient for days out to North Devon proper.

Unique Quality: This is just a general tip and so I won't add any specific comments here, but you know where I am if you're not happy!

Directions: On the River Taws bank to the right as you come in from the station,
