The Esplanade Hotel might have been very grand in the past but has been allowed to fall into some decay. Located right on the sea front which is a good position and only 8 minutes stroll to the town centre. The rooms are small with the wallpaper starting to peel off the walls. the beds were very uncomfortable and well past there us by date. The bathroom was microscopic and awful. There was a television and tea/coffee making facilities in the room. the cleaning standard were poor. The food in the waiter service restaurant was quite reasonable but small portions. the restaurant opening hours were short and extremely restrictive. If you are a tight budget then you might overlook the numerous pitfalls and put up with them as it was quite cheap to stay here on a half board package.
Unique Quality: Good location
Directions: On seafront
