I haven't stayed overnight here (as yet) and so have no particular hotels to recommend but as a general impression there certainly seems to be something for everyone. Establishments range from little back street B&B's to 4-star full-service hotels and because the resort is family-orientated prices tend to be relatively inexpensive.
Most of the accomodations are located in the area between the railwayline and the seafront with the more expensive ones overlooking the Esplanade and the cheaper ones on the back streets. Even in the middle of the season it should be possible to find a room for the night on spec and the local tourist office will be happy to assist.
For booking in advance there's plenty of websites, a couple of which I've listed below and my normal booking site, www.booking.com has a reasonable selection too (along with honest reviews).
