The rooms are still slightly scruffy, though more through age rather than lack of housekeeping, and are currently being refurbed, with a decent size double bed and a sofa/single bed. Check-in and out was swift, friendly and efficient and the bar and restaurant are reasonably good value with hot food available until 11 pm. (Though a night menu is available if you pick the order up from reception yourself).
For an overnight stay for business you could do worse but perhaps not recommended as a hotel in its own right.
The little modern art touches give the rooms a touch of individuality and they certainly are spacious. It does have an outdoor pool and pay-as-you-go computer terminals in the lobby area.
As to location, although this is slightly out of town it is on the main bus route into and from the city with buses running regularly until just after 11pm (though a little patchy on Sundays).
