The Prysten House is the oldest surviving domestic building in Plymouth completed in 1498. The house is also known as Yogge House after the wealthy merchant who had the house built. Today is Tanners, an upmarket restaurant.Just behind The Prysten House between there & St Andrews, (the church in the background) is a Jewish cemetery and the oldest Ashkenazi Synagogue in the English speaking world which has been used continuously, dating back to 1744.
