Sidmouth In Bloom
One of the first things you'll notice about Sidmouth are the well-kept gardens, both private and municipal, and from early spring until late autumn the town is a riot of colour. Not only do the locals compete against each other but the town too is a regular winner of various horticultural awards locally, nationally and even internationally.
No business is complete without at least a couple of hanging baskets and some of the municipal spaces have outstandingly artistic displays such as the fish on pic #1 from the little park area next to the triangle.
Also well worth a wander are the Connaught Gardens on top of the hill at the western end of town, where incidentally the local brass band holds Sunday evening concerts at the bandstand during the summer.
