Sidmouth Accomodation: General Tip
It must be about 14 years ago that I last stayed for a few nights here in Sidmouth and so there's no point in reviewing that as I'm sure things have changed in the meantime.
However as a general overview Sidmouth has loads of accomodation ranging from self-catering cottages and flats through family-run B&B's and up to elegant 4* full-service hotels. There's pretty much something to suit all tastes and budgets and some real bargains to be had out-of-season.
Most of the booking websites only list a few of the more popular hotels but the Tourist Information Centre's website has a searchable database which allows you to input your requirements and will give you a list of matching properties along with contact details. You can't use this to book online (except where a property has its own online booking facility) but you can phone the TIC and they'll assist with the booking - or of course you can contact the individual establishments themselves.
Number and website below are for the TIC.
