"Torquay and Torbay"
Torquay is the main town for the seaside area known as Torbay which also includes the nearby town of Paignton.
The main reason that people come to Torbay is for sun, sea and sand (although sun isn't always guaranteed).
Torquay is a pleasant enough town that has a pretty harbour area and good selection of shops, bars and restaurants that you would expect in a major resort but the best of Torbay is to be found in the little coves and secluded beaches along the coast road heading east.
