More about Trafalgar House
perfect hosts with a great BB
Ian and Annette made us feel very welcome with a nice cup of tea and biscuits, our room was lovely and clean with lots of room soft towels and with little touches ie bottled water free in room every day mints on pillows tea tray filled with all the hot drinks you could think of even fruit teas and biscuits.
the breakfasts were one of the best we have had even better than hotels we have stayed in.
The BB is a little away from the sea front but with how quite it was we had very good nights sleep so felt very relaxed and refreshed.
there knowledge of torquay and the surrounding area enabled us to visit some lovely places and have some beautiful walks, which we needed after there lovely breakfasts.
we will definitely be recommending this place to who ever is looking for some were to stay in torquay thanks Ian and Annette for a great relaxing break and we hope you enjoyed your bottle of wine.
Great value, and good English hospitality, with a cosmopolitan flare!!

Truly a most enjoyable stay, and "the happy memory lingers on" !
Relaxed, comfortable & friendly hotel
Proprietors give a warm, friendly & informative welcome. Rooms tastefully decorated & co-ordinated. Excellent choice of breakfast in a relaxed atmosphere. Nothing too much trouble here!
Warmest welcome we ever received !
My husband and I were travelling together with my parents for a week vacation thru Cornwall and Devon last month. We had no reservations done yet, but checking on the internet we found this nice hotel for which the reviews were excellent. This is what we mainly base our decisions upon when selecting new places to stay. We showed up pretty late in the afternoon, tired from the long driving and worried not to find 2 rooms available for the night, and even if we were not expected, we have been welcomed with the warmest smile and friendliness by the owners. They were very very helpful and offered us 2 very nice rooms, one also had a four-poster bed and a bathroom with a big window, excellent. Very clean, very quiet, excellent location (at short walking distance from the seaside) with a nice view all around and a nice peaceful garden. The location is excellent, the owners even better. Very helpful for any question we would have, and Annette cooks great breakfast ! This is definitely a place to stay if visiting Torquay or a near by location, could not expect anything better. Thank you
Once visited never forgotten - for all the right reasons!
Annette and Ian were wonderful, hospitable, friendly, knowledgeable, caring hosts and Trafalgar House was comfortable, relaxing and peaceful. In fact, the whole experience was a lot better than that provided by some four and five star hotels - for less than half the price! Everything was so clean and fresh, with numerous personal touches such as mints left on the pillows every night, free bottled water and the provision of flannels (as well as towels), wine glasses, a corkscrew, tea and coffee making facilities, biscuits and herbal teas. Breakfast, cooked by Annette and delivered by an ever-cheery Ian, was superb and featured numerous options and a lovely selection of fruit, cereals, yogurt drinks and juice. Hand produced information sheets on the area and suggested tours (on foot and by car) were always available together with a wealth of other information on suggested restaurants and days out. In short, once visited, never forgotten - for all the right reasons. We can't wait to return . . . .
I staied with a girlfriend - in a fantastic doubleroom. the beds were new and the bathroom with showeer was newmade - and worked pefect. Television on the room - and wonderfull pillows - no blankets! Just like home in Denmark. The hotel is very quiet and calm - and the breakfast has wonderfull individual menus - and beside the mnu theres is a lot of fresh fruit and yougurt . The breakfast is served with a fantastic service and individual care. The guests feel very much at ease - and the host just are there for your service and to great help with tourguides and doctors(if you should need it) and they drive you to the station. We visited many lovely places around Torquay - and I will certainly recommend the Trafalgar Hotel to all my friends and I hope to come back one day with my Husbond. He will love the Steamtrain and all the beautyfull gardens we visited: Rosemoor and Coleton Fishacre. The Dartmoore park was fantastic too. Want to come back. We saw the Prison there as well.
rooms and hotel very clean, staff most helpful & food excellent
hotel , rooms very clean , staff very helpfull and very pleasent , catered for my wifes ceoliac, diet , food excellent ,quiet location , maps given out with local restraunts , local places of interest, etc
for a b/b this was a lovely surprise from the greeting we got on arrival from the owners and not just a check in like most hotels to a well decor double room better then most large hotels. It has a 4 star rating and you can see why and the breakfasts are yummy.A large gardens at back and plenty of parking at rear and on street parking for free at front.will be going back to this hotel.if your disabled or cant walk very far then it is about 15min walk to the shops but you can take the scenic route and walk along the seafront but could be a problem for walking disabilities but if not it is a great stroll after a hefty breakfast.Highly recommend
Really Enjoyed our stay
We had a lovely stay and Ian and Annette are excellent host. The only negative was the shower in the four poster bedroom was exceptional poor
