 Absolutely disgusted with our treatment at The Charlesworth. Me and my friend Booked a room here, two singles in one room; days in advance of our trip. It took us over an hour to get here and we weren't able to arrive until 9.30pm. On arrival we got asked for our reason for staying. We stated we were just going out for a few drinks. We got told we weren't allowed to stay. They stated that it clearly says on their website no Hens or Stags allowed- which it does. We outlined that we definitely weren't hen's! But the owners implied regardless we could be slags and bring guys back to our room! We said we would comprimise and just go out for dinner, but still got refused. They refused to give us our money back, which they took from our account before we arrived, and said that it was our fault. Nowhere on their website does it say no same sex couples allowed. I class this as theft and discrimination. We had to stay in the hotel opposite, and got told this had happened multiple times previously.
