More about Premier Inn Bournemouth Central

Best in Bournemouth

by TripAdvisor Member Batman75

The Premier Inn Bournemouth Central is a really pleasant surprise. The hotel is brand new. The rooms are excellent - they feel comparable to what you might expect in a more upmarket 4 star hotel chain. The beds are a little on the firm side if you are used to the US Westin and Marriott beds, but great if you are used to European style beds. The bathroom is quite nice with premium tilework and power showers in every room. Some rooms have combined shower and bath, some have a walk in shower, and some have separate bath and shower. You can also request a room with a sea view on one of the upper floors - these rooms are quite stunning. Rooms are also equipped with attractive dark wood furniture and reasonably sized Sony LCD TVs. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The restaurant is good and has a very good English breakfast.

I normally stay at 4 and 5 star hotels, but found that in terms of comparison to other options in Bournemouth - this is the best place. The Marriott and the Carlton are older, feel worn, don't have power showers and have less comfortable beds. Same with the Royal Bath. While the Premier Inn lacks room service or hotel laundry service, you can pick up food from the hotel restaurant, and Pristine Cleaners offer a pickup and delivery laundry/dry-cleaning service which is better value than a hotel operated service but offering the same convenience.

What a wonderful time!

Just came back from a 2-nights-stay at this hotel and it had been a really really great time. This may be a bit of lengthy review but just want to record what I had found about this hotel.

Start off with a brief review of the hotel itself:

Our room didn't face the sea. We got the room on arrival (we arrived at 10am in the morning!) and instead of waiting for sea-facing rooms to be cleaned up we just wanted to get settled in so we took what they could give us. The decor was what you could see on members' pictures here, modern and nice. The bed was very comfy and you could find 2 extra pillows in the wardrobe. No mini-bar (which makes check out very easy) and tea and coffee were provided in the room.

Our room had a bath and shower. The bathroom was of good size, bright and spotlessly clean. It is one of the cleanest and well kept hotels I had been. Having a bit of phobia about public toilets and bathrooms, I was delighted of their high standard!

Their premier breakfast buffet was very good too. Good selections and very welcoming and helpful staff. I love their sausages by the way :-) The one down side was the coffee cups. There is a coffee machine and some of the cups provided still had a lot of stains/rings inside so make sure you checked the cup before you use it.

They have wifi connections for computer of reasonable price. Our total stay was for 3 days so we went for the one week subscription that costed 20pounds. The site was down on the first day but one phone call and it was back up in no time. Reception staff were really lovely too. We had a bit of problems on our first night and they went out of their way to help us.

I always thought Premier Inn was a budget hotel (esp it was almost half the price per night of nearby Marriott/Royal Bath). But their high standard and great staff made this trip one really comfortable and happy stay.

Lastly, a brief review of the hotel locations:

The hotel is near everything! 5minutes walk from town, next door to the Odeon cinema, across the way from the Pavilion theatre, 5minutes walk to the sea and beach, and 5mintues walk to the Bournemouth International Centre if you are there for a conference through a lovely park just across the way from the hotel.

Talking about this park, if you like grey squirrels, this park is a must-see! There are really so many of them. You regularly see locals or visitors feeding them and enjoying the sights of them busy preparing for winter :-) I did bring a small bag of nuts with me the 2nd time I walked through this park to the beach. It is a most wonderful experience :-)

We had a really great time in Bournemouth and yes, we will again and definitely go back to Premier Inn Central next time!!

Everything you need for a great price

My boyfriend and I have just returned from a night stay at the Premier Inn in bournemouth.
At first i hesitated because it was a premier inn hotel, and i didnt think they were going to be nice. However after looking on the internet it seemed to be okay. I even pre-warned my boyfriend that i didnt know how nice it would be.
One we arrived, i was instantly surprise. The outside of the hotel isnt a picture perfect moment, but as soon as you enter the lobby, it is lovely.
The whole decor is very modern and our room was brown and green, which gave a very contempory feel. The room consisted of a double bed (very comfy) two dressing tables, a wardrobe, a chair and a lovely flat screen HD ready television.
The bathroom was also very nice, with plenty towels and very clean.
The hotel was also about a 3 minute walk to the BIC and is directly oppisite the pavillion. It is also about a 5 minute walk to the main town.
We paid £70 for one night, and would return there in a heart-beat. The hotel is not the ritz, but for the price we paid and the convience to the town, it is everything we needed.

Cannot believe this was a Premier Inn!

What a fantastic hotel. Great seafront and town centre position.
Beautiful design with original 1930s architecture. The bar and restuarant contain stunning features and all in all this was a very upmarket hotel.
Comfy and roomy bedrooms, ultra mod bathrooms.
Breakfast was also excellent value and very good quality.

Excellent Bournemouth hotel

by TripAdvisor Member richardlondon

Despite a few minor problems, I was extremely impressed with this hotel. I had been expecting a budget hotel, but this is more like a 4 star, modern and trendy property.

We had a great room (#406) overlooking the sea/pier. The room was extremely large and well appointed. However the rooms vary in size considerably - others in our group had a room half the size.

We used the car park linked to the hotel. It's a bit tricky to find (turn right after the hotel, turn right again, then enter the car park near the car hire office). Guests pay £6/day to park (normally £10).

We had a couple of minor problem, the room was a bit cool and the heating didn't seem to work well and in the morning the hot water wasn't overly warm. But these were minor issues, overall I thought this was a great hotel.
