Bournemouth beach

Christchurch is a pleasant town east of Bournemouth reached by train or bus. The town centre is smart and upmarket but the best bit of the town is the waterfront where there is an inlet where boats tie up. It has a large grassed area and there is a nice pub/restaurant here where you can see the boats moving along the inlet and river.
The Lower garden hosts a number of events including the popular candle illuminations which attract thousands of spectators on summer evenings.
Visitors who walk through the gardens can see the floral displays that combine a range of colours, textures and scents. The Gardens also have plenty of activities to keep visitors busy including the Bournemouth Eye, music at the Pine Walk bandstand and an aviary.
There is also a large rock garden which was built in the 1930s
