More about Danecourt Lodge
Perfect Hotel- loved our stay here!!
I booked a stay at danecourt lodge for for nights as a break for my wife's birthday and we could not recommend this hotel enough. The rooms were completely spotless and beautifully decorated. The hotel itself is quiet and peaceful and the owners Pat and Ron are absolutely wonderful. We ended up staying for and extra night. This is a fantastic place to stay and we loved everything about it- especially the smoked salmon at breakfast! We hope to visit again soon.
Nothing but good things to say about this B&B and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a trip down to the south coast. The room and en-suite were immaculate as was the rest of the property and garden and we had a very comfortable stay. Pat, the owner was very helpful with local knowledge on where to go and what to see and served up one of the best breakfasts we've ever had from a B&B. Next time we go to Poole, there's only one place we'll be staying.
'Home from Home'
Stayed for a week, didnt want to go home! Bit further out of town than we thought, 25min walk, handy for bus routes to local areas with good links further afield from Poole itself if relying on public transport. Room was immaculate and comfortable, Pat and Ron were excellent hosts. Good choice of breakfast, highly recommend the scrambled eggs and smoked salmon! Would definitely go back if we are in the area again!
4 STAR??? SHOULD BE 5 STAR!!!
My partner and I stayed at this B&B on 2nd August 2008 for one night.
Upon arrival we were very impressed with the politeness of the staff and the splendid decor of the Danecourt. Infact, we were bowled over.
We entered the room we would be sleeping in and were stunned at the quality of the decor, which can only be described as 5 star luxury. Hairdryer, TV, DVD player, CD radio all different types of tea and coffee are a few of the things included.
The ensuite bathroom is immaculate and this is the only word to describe it. No grotty tiles or mouldy grout here. It was a pleasure to have a shower in a clean, non stained shower tray with piping hot water.
Breakfast was beautiful and the presentation of it superb. The view from the breakfast room is a beautiful landscaped garden.
We have stayed at 6 different B&B's over the last year in Poole while visiting my parents and nothing comes close to the Danecourt Lodge.
Overall, we cannot fault this B&B in any way. No expense has been spared at this B&B and we have no hesitation in booking again in the near future.
Stay here if you want good quality service.
Thanks go to the Danecourt Lodge for making us feel welcome.
P.S we like the lights in your hallway :-)
Nice Room, Delicious Food, Great Hospitality
I stayed at the Danecourt Lodge during a business trip to Poole in early August. Prior to my stay communications with Pat were very good and she was very accommodating with my arrival time. The house is in a nice, quiet area. My room was very comfortable and nicely decorated and furnished. The bathroom was clean and large with good towels and a nice shower. There were lots of nice touches in the room, including lots of different beverage choices, fresh milk, chocolate biscuits and plentiful toiletries to use. Breakfast was lovely and Pat went out of her way to make sure people were well catered for. Portions are very generous. Pat was a perfect host and nothing seemed to be too much trouble; she made a great effort to make sure people enjoyed their stay. I would definitely recommend this B&B and would stay here again.
My husband and I stayed here is June 08 and it was fantastics, the rooms are beautiful and the whole place is immaculate, Pat is fantastic and will give you advise on places to go without being intrusive. The food was great and if you are thinking of staying here then go for it you wont be dissapointed!
To get to the town there is a lane that takes you down to the beautiful park and into town and you can walk right down to the harbour, there are some lovely resturants and places to see in this area.
Fantastic b & b
We both stayed here for 2 days and we could not fault a thing. The owner, Pat, welcomed us with warm smile when we got there and gave us the choice of 2 rooms (there are 3 in the building altogether). Once we had chosen our room Pat gave us a run down of the main things to do and see in Poole and Sanbanks as well as some great places to eat! We would highly recommend this b&b. The room was modern, comfortable, very clean and the breakfast is 1st class. When we sat down for breakfast we were given a lovely fresh fruit salad and various juices to choose from whilst Pat made us a delicious full english breakfast which set us up for the day. The dining room was lovely with a beautiful view of the very green garden.
We would definately stay here again!
We have just returned from staying at Danecourt after a two night stay. We attended a wedding in Poole. We have always prefered to stay in B and B's as we feel you get personal attention, and treated as a person and not a room number. Pat and Ron did not fail us. We were welcomed into their beautiful, spotlessly clean home. Were treated as if we were the only guest staying( which we were not). Our room was, large, bright, spotlessly clean, and at the back of the house, so it was quiet and over looked a beautiful secluded and well kept garden. Breakfast, excelent choice, hot, cooked fresh when you turned up in the dinning room, Pat added many little extras one we enjoyed was a little box left on your pillow at night which contained a chocolate.
A lovely place to stay
We stayed at the Danecourt for 3 nights in September and had a lovely time. Our room was lovely and light, a nice size and had everything we needed, the bathroom was very clean, as was the whole of the guesthouse. Our room was made up twice a day which I didn't expect but when returning to the room after an evening out we found our quilt folded down and a chocolate on the pillow, a lovely touch which we appreciated.
The breakfast was nice, a selection of cereals and a choice between a cooked breakfast, croissants and smoked salmon and as much toast as we could eat!
Pat couldn't do enough for you from recommending a nearby pub for food which was excellent (I think it was called the Sweet Home), to a map of how to walk into Poole Centre, to the local discount lighting shop where we spent a fortune. Thanks Pat we had a great time.
Wonderful B & B
My husband and I stayed at Danecourt Lodge for 6 nights in August and we can only reiterate what other reviewers have said as we were really impressed with everything and cant speak highly enough of the wonderful hospitality, breakfasts and immaculate rooms - would highly recommend Danecourt Lodge to anyone planning a visit to Poole and have certainly recommended it to our Australian friends here in Perth should they make a trip to the UK - thank you Pat - we really appreciate the way you made us feel so very welcome - Brian and Julie Cathcart
