"Happy memories of Poole"
I was born in Poole in 1973 (not afraid to admit my age). I didn't live there for long as my parents moved to Scotland, then the Midlands before separating. But I did go back to Poole over various school holidays whilst visiting my Grandparents or staying with my Mum's friends.
What I remember about Poole, is Poole pottery, Brown Sea Island, the beaches and strangely the glass lift in the public library (which was quite a novelty at the time).
I also remember going to Corfe Castle where I drank some of my Dad's beer not knowing that it was beer!
