I really can't remember a great deal about Weymouth, the two things that do stand out in my memory though are the clock tower on the promenade and the sand sculptures on the beach.
The sand sculptures are amazing and must have taken alot of time and patience to build.
Weymouth Harbour is a real gem for boatspotting (do people do that) as there is a vast array boats docked in our famous harbour all the time. Long, tall, small and crap, they're all there. You get to see most of the best ones in action on every hour when the bridge dramatically parts to let through the taller boats.
If you are down around May Bank Holiday time (I think) then watching the Trawler Race is a must. A big thing is made of this each year, and I for one have celebrated it for the past few years, though whether it has actually happened is a mystery to me, as the day seems to be more of an excuse for an all day pub crawl and *** up than an exhibition of sailing. Sorry guys!

A: "Unfortunately karaoke isn't my thing but yes there are several karaoke bars around town. If I remember correctly there's at least one on the seafront and the "Sailors..."
