Weymouth, Portland Bill & area
"Weymouth & about"
We visited Weymouth, Dorset in September, the weather was lovely and there are a row of b&b's very near to the seafront and beautifull long shaped sandy beach, there is a shopping centre and town with coffee bars/restaurants, its a great place for a weekend visit...
"Portland Bill Lighthouse"
The lighthouse is situated 10 min drive from Weymouth town itself and is a beautifull place to visit, a couple of hotels are nearby but other than lighthouse not lot else there, amazing views on driving up leaving weymouth down below, of the stretch of sand called Chesil Beach, looks fantastic when travelling up hill towards lighthouse road...
Make sure you go up the lighthouse, steep stairs so be carefull... views are super from up top. Great cafe/restaurant on ground with outdoor seating area for nice days, with toilets. However you have to pay in carpark...
