Great Beach ......for walking!
by herzog63
I spent alot of time walking the small lanes and walking on the beach in Brighton. I wish I would have taken more pictures! For the fairly long period of time that I've spent in Brighton I don't have very many pictures!! Brighton can be a fun town! It can also serve as a great base for exploring smaller towns and villages in the area.
Strange tourist's LOL
by Elodie_Caroline
One afternoon, whilst me and my husband were visiting Brighton, we were sat on a wooden park bench on the promenade, when a coach full of German tourists got off the coach behind us. All of a sudden, right behind me, we heard a young man's voice going "Oh my god, it's Elizabeth Taylor!"..... Funny really, considering my hair is blonde, and not dark like our Lizzie's!? It must have just been the really big hair that I used to sport?
Bill Bryson - Notes from a small island
by HORSCHECK

The book is packed with interesting and funny stories about travelling as it really happens. By reading the book you get a nice insight into the life of the British people and their peculiarities. Some places Bryson visits on his trip are: Bradford, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow, Llandudno, London, Porthmanog and Thurso.
This book is definitely a must-read for everyone before or after a trip to Britain.
Get out of town and explore...

Get out of town and explore the South Downs.
This picture was taken right near some old iron age fortification. My Mum and her family used to go camping in this area at a place called Devil's Dyke when she was young and then go to Brighton to play on the beach and winkle picking in the old marina.
