I put it in this as it is classed as a B n B but I go there to, well, drink, mainly! It's the best locals local in Brighton, friendly service by none other than Liverpudlian Bob and his partner. Full of old characters and "cheaper" beer than most of Brightons ale houses.
The best bit is the back room, not sure if I should let you know about this bit!! It's become a hangout for us thirtysomethings who listen to top tunes and play pool...... by a5floor You can choose between a single and a double room. The single room has no shower or toilet on the room (the room is on the 1st floor and you have to go to the 3rd floor for a shower or a bath). You only have a sink in your room. Faxnumber: +44-(0)1273-821096. Email: info@orientalhotel.co.uk You can have a week and a weekend-rate. Otherwise you will have a day-rate.
The reception/dine area is really great! :) The walls are painted red. And there are flowers in the room. In the morning when you have your breakfast, you will be surrounded by nice music. When I was there, breakfast was served between 8.30am and 9.30am. Its on New Steine...which is a square to the east of town...I think I've stayed in most of the hotels on this square! NB Photo is from their own webpage. by a5floor The rooms in this hotel are REALLY great. The only bad thing is that the most rooms are at the street site. And the North Street is a really busy road. This hotel is a popular one. Middle in the centre of Brighton. Faxnumber: +44-(0)8707001335.

The Grand Hotel has - along with the Metropole - been one of Brighton's leading hotels for the many years. It plays host to Prime Ministerial stays during political party conferences and was the scene of a famous IRA bomb attack in 1984 which removed a goodly amount of the hotel's frontage and nearly took Mrs Thatcher with it. Because of it's iced cake appearance it's always had a slight edge on it's rival but recent reports tend to suggest that this particular Grande Dame isn't looking as sprightly as she used to be. People have certainly had excellent stays but some others report a fall from grace and a slow decline from chic to ever so slightly shabby. Luxury is obviously still to be had here but perhaps it needs to try a tad harder in certain departments? The main dining room is the King's Restaurant which serves both a la carte and fixed price menus. The current price (June 2008) of the latter being £23.50 for two courses and £29 for three. Traditional style dishes on offer include oxtail soup, beef and ale pie, and rhubarb and pear crumble and thick custard. The Victoria Bar and Lounge serves coffee, cream teas, sandwiches and in the evening becomes a cocktail serving piano bar. After overdoing it at the restaurant you might wish to toddle - or waddle? - along to the hotel's own health Club with it's pool, saiuna, steamroom and array of treatments from facials to body massages. Then again, you could have another cream tea!

by a5floor In Brighton you have 2 hotels from Hilton: the Hilton Brighton West Pier and the Hilton Brighton Metropole. The West Pier is more further away from the centre than the Metropole is. You can have a single, double or triple room. Faxnumber: +44-(0)1273-775877.

Bed and Breakfast Brighton by HORSCHECK I recommend to stay in a private Bed and Breakfast or Guesthouse accomodation. Brighton is a popular seaside resort, therefore it has plenty of accomodations. But in the high season it can be booked up.
Bed and Breakfast accomodation offers various advantages which make your holiday unforgettable: You get in contact with the locals and get a feeling for their way of life. You get in contact with other tourists. The cooked english breakfast is excellent and keeps you full until the afternoon.
