More about Guest and the City

Briliant

by TripAdvisor Member Jitesh

Me and my wife stayed at this lovely little place, I emailed Chris after reading the reviews on trip advisor, Luckily Chris called me back with availability. Chris was very friendly and helpful guy, me and my wife liked him straight away

Guest and the City was a stones throw away from the beach and the pier, main town shops and clubs. The room we stayed in was really modern and well maintained, everything worked perfectly,

It felt really warm and welcomed sort of place, breakfast was a treat, Chris put on a good show and we throughly enjoyed it, which was nice before we went out for a morning walk on the beach

I would recommend this place if you looking for a place to stay in brighton, you wont be disappointed, we definitely go back again

all the best Jay

Just had the most fabulous weekend in brighton made even better by the stunning accomodation guest and the city offers! From the moment you arrive you are made to feel really welcome by Chris. The rooms are amazing ours had one of the handmade stained glass windows in it which are absolutely stunning.Breakfast was really relaxed and a real treat and just a stones throw from the beach and pier who could ask for anything more! The only negative thing was having to leave i could of quite happily stayed for longer will definately be coming back next year.

went for a short break and booked with chris at last minute he went out of his way to accomadate us we didnt know what to expect but we were totally blown away by this stunning boutique. By far the best we have ever stayed in with the best breakfast we have ever had. the whole place is finished to the highest of standards with great personal touches which made us feel at home thank you chris for making our break so memorable we will definatley be back soon.

Super welcome

My seven girl friends and i spent a girly weekend in Brighton and were all really looked after by Chris.

We booked up after a recommendation and it really lived up to what we were told.

The rooms were all bright and clean, just what we needed. The place it's self had all the little touches and even had a selection of very yummy sweets as you left the building(which we all helped ourselves to an many occasion and Chris was only to happy to fill it up again).

Chris as a host was fab, by letting us bring out stuff into the rooms early and even letting us leave them there the following day so we could do some much needed shopping before heading off home. The tips that Chris gave us to all of the best places to visit were spot on.

The breakfast the next day was just what we needed after a long night of dancing and he really had everything for us.

I will definetly be coming back again and have already recommended it to many of my friends that will be going to Brighton.

Super!

Super location, super stylish, super clean and super comfortable - this small but perfectly formed boutique guesthouse in the centre of all things in Brighton is a real and special find. I can't recommend a stay highly enough, the price is the only thing that is average and the service and posh/plentiful breakfast really make you feel that you are being spoilt. This is the best place i have stayed in in Brighton in 20 years - really fantastic value. Thank you Chris for a wonderful warm welcome: I just wish we could have stayed longer. I'll be back!

!!The Best Guest House in Town!!

by TripAdvisor Member supergalLondon

This has to be one of the best places we have stayed in - not just in Brighton but anywhere in the world. It was really clean and the rooms were really welcoming. Stayed there twice now and both times were equally good. Thankfully we managed to drag ourselves out of the comfortable bed and make it to breakfast as it was delicious and more fitting of a 5 star hotel! Chris is the perfect host and makes the best mug of tea.
Chris was very helpful as we had turned up very late on the Friday night due to traffic and he stil came to meet us, show us where to park and make us feel comfortable especially with his witty humour ( which puts the likes of Catherine Tate to shame :-)
We reccomend this guest house to anyone and its the only place we would choose to stay when in Brighton.

Best guesthouse in brighton

by TripAdvisor Member duckLondon

What a fantastic welcome we got as soon as we arrived
Chris run down the street to save us a parking space as most of you know that have been to brighton this can be a problem.
The room was out of this world Chris had the glass in the room stained with a view of brighton pier it was so original
The Ensuite looked like it had never been used it was that clean
A buffet breakfast awaited us there was enough variety to choose from this made a refreshing change to a fried breakfast it suited us more.
Chris Could not be more helpful with information what a brillant host.
We will be going back to the best guesthouse in brighton.

Great location, with friendly owner and nice little touches

by TripAdvisor Member Mendoza_25R

Stayed one night on a blustery Friday in November.

Excellent location, with a short walk to the front and shops. Neat new and tidy rooms, with quirky (but not too quirky) touches. Room we had was a little cramped, would have been a bit squeezed if there more than nights, but there are bigger rooms - so book early!

Breakfast much better than expected, with plenty of choice and plenty to eat.

Owner helped talk us through the 1-way system, even standing out in the street to save us a parking space! Make sure you get a 24hr permit (cost of £5 from the owner).

Clean and Comfy

by TripAdvisor Member uemailme1

The b&b is off a side street just a short walk from the Brighton Pier. The room was impeccably clean with just the basics. Heat was turned off over night which was chilly. Breakfast was continental: rolls, smoked salmon, sausages, boiled eggs, toast, and cereals, coffee and cheeses.
