More about Hotel Pelirocco

Loved Hotel Pelirocco

by TripAdvisor Member The_Rovers

We have just returned from a 1 night stay in the Ocean Room at Hotel Pelirocco. From checking in to checking out the staff were laid back, extremely friendly and went out of their way to ensure that our stay was a good one. The Ocean Room itself was cool and calm with crisp white bed linen, white furnishings and funky bar area (not forgetting the hanging bambo swing chair!) The hotel bar serves an array of interesting cocktails and the artwork raised a smile or two. Breakfast was fab, a great feast to start the day. Definitely a hotel for anybody looking for something a bit more alternative, I'm certain that we will be back to check out the other rooms on offer!

fantastic hotel, friendly staff

I loved the Pelirocco and it's worth every penny.

We booked Absolut Love, and I was a bit weary after reading someone's post saying it was filthy. I don't understand how they came to that conclusion because it was spotless. A fantastic room, brilliantly and seedily decorated, and it had THE most comfortable bed i have ever slept in! The Playstation was an added bonus!

We loved the Pelirocco so much that we stayed a 2nd night at the last minute. We had the Hysteric Glamour room, which was similar to staying in a cool bedroom. It wasn't as pristinely decorated as Absolut Love, but we still thought it was brilliant. Another cosy bed, and 2 beanbags to sit in when playing the Playstation.

The hotel bar is fun, too, and the cocktails are lovely. Breakfast was massive and catered well for vegetarians.

I can't believe that someone complained that the stuff are unfriendly. They are really, really helpful and will go out of their way to help.

definitely a must for a fun, slightly naughty weekend away.
the room was amazing. huge!! very clean with everything you could need (apart from for the girlies ... i couldn't find a hairdryer).
thoroughly recommend this place. everything about it is perfect. all the people we met that worked there / were staying there or just even passing through were just the nicest people in the world.
thank you!!

the original dirty weekender

Loved this place. Service was fab, staff were friendly, and location perfect. The rooms were a little small, but the kooky designs were great. I felt that the hotel typifies the feel of Brighton. Great for couples to feel a little bit naughty!! Only draw back is the lift- don't go in if you're either claustrophobic or afraid of lifts!

Fun by the sea

Brilliant place, great location, excellent breakfast. Surprised the Modrophenia Room was described as grotty. We ex mods really liked it. Breakfasts very good and cocktails served quickly and expertly. Staff very friendly and very helpful suggesting restaurants, shops and other attractions. Very interesting selection of toys available to buy under the counter! Our daughter who was in the Mohammed Ali room loved it and will go back when she is old enough for a dirty weekend!!

Sex and fun and rock and roll

Went to Brighton for a midweek break to celebrate my wife's 40th. We thought the hotel looked fun and booked the Absolut Love room (banking on it being a quiet time of year to negotiate a small discount on the price).

If you're looking for a hip place to stay to enjoy a bit of saucy seaside fun then look no further. Our room was sumptuously furnished with huge velvet drapes and massive, comfortable, extra king-size bed. The walls are papered with outrageous burnt orange floral flock. The paintwork is purple. Amazingly, this all hangs together to give a really cool, knowingly seedy (in a good way) atmosphere. The bar carries this aesthetic through with shocking pink leather upholstered stools and forest green kitsch silver birch wallpaper. Try the cocktails - they're good!

The self-consciously cool staff were all polite, friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fresh and hearty.

This is a hotel that requires a sense of humour but makes no compromise in terms of the quality of service. We wouldn't hesitate to book again and look forward to trying one of the other themed rooms.

Great fun, Great location, Great staff.

My wife and I stayed in the Betty's Boudoir suite for 2 nights for a weekend away in January 2006. The room was imagintaively styled, with lots of really nice little touches. The double sized spa bath was very nice, the bed was extremely comfortable and the duvet and pillows were top class. We didn't make use of the optional handcuffs, but if we had gone down that route, the hotel had a catalogue of heaps of other toys that we could have purchased to add to the fun. As it was the PlayStation in the room kept me busy enough.

The location is excellent - very central, right by the beach and right next to loads of restaurants. The PlayStation bar is fun - open till 4am, some great art on the walls and some wicked cocktails. Breakfasts were the absolute nuts as well. However, the best thing about the hotel was the lovely manager, Kate, who bent over backwards to be as lovely and charming as possible. She really was the perfect hostess.

I thoroughly recommend this place. Go and enjoy it!

Fun, but not for the fainthearted!

This place is so much fun! Ok, so it's a little rough around the edges, but that adds to the charm. The hotel staff were really sweet and were happy to recommend places to visit. We stayed one night in the Nookii room, and one night in Jamie Reid. Nookii is the best place ever for a naughty weekend away! Jamie is funky, bright and comfy. Great cocktails and nice brekkie too!

Shabby chic...or just a bit shabby?

by A TripAdvisor Member

We stayed in the 'Pussy' room for one night in February. The staff were very nice and the breakfast was brilliant but the room looked really tired and the bathroom was, well, a bit rubbish.

Definitely over-hyped and over-priced.
