Marine Parade Hotel?

by poons

Finding myself mad enough to brave life and limb by being blown off the pier at Pickledonions' Christmas shenanigans in Brighton below....

I'm trying to find a hotel on Marine Parade and having a bit of trouble by normal googling means. Anyone help please? (all the affordable rooms at the Atlanta have gone).

Thanks in advance.

This was useful when I was searching around.

Thanks Maria, thanks Gillian.

Yes, I've seen these sites - thanks for your responses though. I was just trying out the lazy way first by getting help from VT Brighton, before scrolling through these hotels looking for one on the Parade.

Travel Tips for Brighton

One Amazing Day

by londonscooterboy

Terre a terre My best Brighton memory

2002

Fatboy Slim’s free concert live on Brighton beach.

During the preceding week the papers and everyone were freaking out because they were expecting 75 000 people to come to the gig, the town couldn’t handle it blah blah blah.

Saturday morning dawns; beautiful day and the people start coming and coming and coming.

That afternoon people are waiting and waiting and waiting; the police are freaking because there are so many people and they keep delaying Fatboy’s start.

Finally he hits the stage. 250 000 people !!!!!!!!! on the beach go ape.

And the first tune……Tim Deluxe: It Just Won't Do (before it had been played to death.)

One amazing day…..

City Guide of Brighton

by HORSCHECK

Take a free city guide of Brigton at the tourist information. It is a pocket guide with every kind of useful information about the city (e.g. shopping, eating out, pubs, clubs etc.).
Aprat from that it includes a detailed map of Brighton and the surrounding area.
Brighton's tourist information office is located at Bartholomew Sqaure near the coach station and the Palace Pier.

Portsmouth and Southsea

by HORSCHECK

If you are interested in ships you can take a day trip by train to Portsmouth and Southsea.

The trip takes less than 1,5 hours from Brighton. The harbour town of Portsmouth is one of Britain's maritime bases. It has an exhibition of historic ships and a few ship museums.

The residental suburb of Southsea offers a long pebble beach and many seaside amusements.

Junk or antiques

by biggeorge about Snoopers Paradise

A rabbit warren of antiques / junk in glass cabinets ,this place is like Steptoe and Sons house. Guarenteed to find something you like for about a fiver ,but you might have trouble finding it. Has a photography gallery upstairs ( if you can find them ) , perfect for killing those pesky hours till the Kensington opens. Junk Anything from a fiver to a score
