Unique Quality: Before The Oriental became Brighton's first Boutique hotel it used to be the host of the notorious nightclub The Brighton Belle, where Boy George and Fatboy Slim performed.
The Oriental soon became the hangout for the art crowd. With its moody lighting, deep colours and Moroccan rugs it was naturally called 'The Bohemian' for a Brighton based Eastenders episode. Zoe Slater lost her virginity in room 5!

The first hotel I stayed in.
You can choose between a single and a double room. The single room has no shower or toilet on the room (the room is on the 1st floor and you have to go to the 3rd floor for a shower or a bath). You only have a sink in your room.

You can have a week and a weekend-rate. Otherwise you will have a day-rate.
Unique Quality: The reception/dine area is really great! :) The walls are painted red. And there are flowers in the room.
In the morning when you have your breakfast, you will be surrounded by nice music.
When I was there, breakfast was served between 8.30am and 9.30am.

4-bunk room £100, double room £69.50.
Unique Quality: Only few metres from Kings Road which runs along sea front. Very cool decor, very friendly young staff, and the best English breakfast I can remember having. 4-bunk room for small groups (£25 per person), as well as single and double rooms. Parking on street was a problem, all over Brighton, difficult to find space, and limited to 2 hours between 9am-6pm. Plenty of multi-storey carparks though within 5 minutes walk of the hotel.
