We stayed for 6 nights at The 21.
Matt and Andy are two of the most hospitable guys you could wish to meet. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms and en-suite were immaculate. The flowers in the room and dining area were a welcome addition.
Matt and Andy were always available with local knowledge of places to eat and the local attractions.
The 21 is ideally situated for the seafront and pier. Also handy for the electric railway ( direct to the Marina area ) and Lanes shopping area.
Excellent breakfasts which set us up for the day. ( Thanks for the extra HP ).
We were sorry to leave but will return.
All B & B's should be of this standard.

Friendly and personal charm!

by TripAdvisor Member Swedes07

My 17-year old son and I both really appreciated our 3 days-stay on theTwenty One. (We hadn´t high expactations since our hotel in London were quite simple.) It is obvious that the owners Matt and Andy put all effords to make every stay at their hotel the best. Personal service without beeing "pushy", very nice rooms -clean and newly renovated. Bathrooms very nice too. We also liked the beatyful situation off the hotel - the walk to and from the TwentyOne is extreamly beautyful. We think the position is one of the best in Brighton! You cant choose a better hotel! Thanks from Sweden!

Charming hotel delightful owners

by TripAdvisor Member Stevie87

A charming hotel, matched only by the charming hosts ,Matt and Andy, for whom nothing is too much trouble. This delightful hotel is very centrally located down a quiet side street. The breakfasts are the best ever. Matt and Andy are quiet and unobtrusive but ensure you are well very well looked after...so much so, it felt like meeting up with old friends. We will definitely be staying there again and have already booked to return next year.

Great Little Guest House

The 'Twenty One' was a great little find.It is within easy reach of all ammenities,5 mins walk to the pier, nice restaurant's nearby. The guys Andy and Matt are very helpful and will answer any questions you have and also help with the parking by supplying residents permits for only a fiver which lasts 24 hours.
We had room 6 which was very spacious, had a new ensuite and was very clean. There was a flat screen tv with dvd and freeview built in,the guys have a supply of dvd's if you wish to have a night in.There is a good supply of tea and coffee making stuff with plenty of biscuits and of course the kitkats.
Would definately use again

What a delight!

After two weeks working in central England, we decided to take a break in Brighton for three days before returning to Canada. We found The Twenty One on the internet and what a find! The location was perfect--very quiet and just steps from the main street along the beach, and minutes from the pier, great restaurants and shopping.
Matt and Andy were the best hosts--they couldn't do enough for you--from carrying bags to preparing a variety of wonderful breakfasts to making suggestions re local restaurants and sites. Not being used to parking on the 'other' side of the road, they even offered to park the car for us!
We stayed in the Victorian Room and couldn't be more comfortable. It was very clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated and the extra touches said so much about Matt and Andy--complementary water in the frig, cookies and the best treat--kit kat bars!
Congratulations Matt and Andy on restoring The Twenty One to a very special place, and making our stay so memorable. We look forward to returning!

Great stay

by TripAdvisor Member bikerprof

We had a very enjoyable stay in a double room, plus extra bed for child. As others have said, the owners try very hard to make your stay as pleasant as possible, but are not at all 'pushy'. Breakfast offers variety and is good (and plentiful).

Brilliant

Absolutely lovely hotel, great location - within walking distance to the pier and the shops. Nothing was too much trouble for the owners and their breakfast was great! Very clean, charming rooms. Thoroughly recommend. Will definately stay again next time I'm in Brighton.

Fantastic Hotel

by TripAdvisor Member frederickDerby

This was our second visit this year. This time for a 3 night short break. As before Matt and Andy were the perfect hosts and the hotel was excellent.
The location of the hotel is perfect for all the attractions and interests in Brighton.
The best fresh cooked breakfasts I have ever had!!
We were accompanied this time by my 12 year old daughter and her best friend, who both thought the hotel was "really cool"
We have already booked for next year!!

3 nights, 2 fantastic hosts = 1 unforgettable stay in Brighton.

What can we say about The Twenty One other than there is simply no other choice when we stay in Brighton from now on.
Their rooms are just first class, very comfortable, great amenities. Their complimentary drinks and snacks are the best we've seen. Their breakfasts are superb. They set us up brilliantly for the rest if the day. Always keen to help, the hosts Matt and Andy make you feel very welcome. We left feeling like we had known them for ages! It won't be long before we are back to use The Twenty One as a base for exploring more of Brighton and SE England.
