My mother and I came down here for the weekend during our 2 week trip to the UK.We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room, since most places taked about how small all the rooms where. The check in was wonderful- we got there by train at 10am. They kept our bags until the check-in time, which was 2pm. The check-in was quick and easy. They already had everything printed out for all the people arriving- so that was wonderful.
The hotel is a bit of a downhil walk from the trainstation, and it took a little bit of common sense direction sensing to know where to go. We had left our maps in London, but it wasn't hard to find at all. I must say though- it was a lot easier getting down there than up, since it is a pretty steep hill on Harold Street.
Our rooms had two twin beds, and each bed just had one pillow. The comforters have the sheet wrapped in it, so you either have the comforter or nothing. Luckily it got pretty cool at night (Mid 60s F), so it was okay for us. It would have been torture in the summer.

Very very minimal toiletries and linens put out. Only one towel and a bath mat. There were NO wash clothes, only 1 soap and 1 shampoo. That was frustrating! I am sure they would have brought up more, but we didn't care.
The internet is only accesable in the "common areas"- meaning the lobby. I guess this is how it is in the UK for the most part. Perhaps I am spoiled with tons of email access.
I have another feeling for the town itself, but I won't go into that here.
Other than that the hotel stay was good. I would go bac
