Chelmsford V-Festival -
"Josh Ritter at V Fest 05"
I've been to Chelmsford a couple of time for V - Richard Branson's music festival. It's probably my least favourite summer festival as it's much too overcrowded, and seems to be just one big money-making event.
The only good thing about the 05 V fest was Josh Ritter - my favourite Idahoan,.. (Idahoer??) who came all the way from...... er.. Idaho to perform.. and he was, as usual, fabulous.
What was even better was meeting him before the gig in the festival grounds, where he was just wandering around and taking it all in, until two strange English women interrupted and said Hi Josh! :))
Of course Josh wasn't headlining - I think it was Oasis and Texas and Scissor Sisters that year, but Josh was who we came to see and he was amazing.
