500 year old Hotel

An ideal hotel for people interested in history as it is well over 500 years old. The 47 bedrooms often have to be navigated through quite narrow passageways and all room are on the second floor served only by fairly steep stairs so it is not suitable for those with a walking disability. With exposed beams, anyone over 5' 9 will have to watch their heads !

Unique Quality: Much of the architecture is original, including low ceiling beams which you have to be very aware of and the ancient flooring of the upstairs rooms and passageways creak violently when they are stepped upon.

There is a very good restaurant and large bar area and a separate non-smoking lounge eating area.

At $150.00 per night, it is probably the more expensive of the town centre hotels and has generally a very full car park at the rear which can present a challenge with its very limited space.
