Built prior to 1500 AD
An ancient hotel right in the centre of Colchesters High Street almost opposite the more expensive George Hotel. The Red Lion is not as nice as the George but with prices of around $90.00 is almost half of that of the George.
Unique Quality: A hotel steeped in history being built in 1465. The downside is parking even to for a short time. To offload in the High Street can be a problem and it has no car park of its own. You are required to use a NCP car park some 5 mins away which in bad weather can inconvenient
