A lovely quiet hotel
This hotel seemed to have it all, all the facilities, two restaurants and conference facilities. Probably the best hotel I have stayed in.
Set in its own grounds it is away from amny bustle. Were able to leave the car in the car park and the hotel supplied a complimentary taxi to and from the airport, some 20 minutes away.
Unique Quality: Huge rooms and excellent facilities, plus rabbits on the lawn in the morning.

4 Star luxury 5 star feeling!
We stayed here the night we got married as it was convenient for Stansted and it was in a beutiful location. The grounds that the hotel are set in are large and it is a very romantic place to spend the night.
It was built in the late 19th century and is italian in it's style.
There is a very cosy bar which served wonderful (although pricey) Pimms cocktails.
The menu in the restaurant looked ambitious and should we go again we would certainly give it a try .
We never got the chance to use the leisure facilities but they looked good.
Part of the De Vere group of hotels it is well worth the expense to stay just one night even!!
