Spent two nights in this 18th century hotel which is situated in the small village of Birdlip some 8 miles from Gloucester, in the county of Gloucestershire,England.Set in 26 acres of peaceful grounds the hotel makes an ideal base for a visit to the Cotswolds.
Our room which was situated on the ground floor had french doors opening onto a small patio area with table and chairs. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable with a good size en suite.Large on site car park.
Breakfast selection consisted of cereal, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, croissants and toast together with a selection of cooked food which was done to order.Varied dinner menu which was reasonably priced with friendly staff made this a pleasant place to stay.Live entertainment in the bar on some evenings makes this a nice place to relax.
Directions: Exit M5 motorway at junction 11a and follow the A417 for about 4 miles, heading towards Cirencester.Turn right at top of dual carriageway onto the B4070 and into Birdlip.
