Spent two nights with the family (2+2), got upgraded on arrival to two interconnecting rooms.
Agree with all other reviewers, the facilities are excellent, we particularly loved the swimming pool and the restaurant.
This hotel is excellent and we will definitely be coming back.
Although when we first arrived it was clear that someone's wedding party was in full swing, this did not disturb us at all.
Our room was very spacious, clean and had been recently redecorated to a very high standard. It looked exactly like the picture on their website. I loved the cushions, pictures and carpet, and the bathroom was brand new too. The pool was great - remember to get a towel from the gym entrance first - with sauna & jacuzzi nearby.
Breakfast had a good selection of muesli/healthy stuff as well as traditional fare. Although busy, presumably from people staying over after the wedding, service was good.
The only slight moan was that the bar food was quite expensive.
We wanted to breakup a journey from Gateshead to Devon so picked this hotel.
We got a good deal from lastminute.com and found the location perfect as it was just off the motorway.
Reception were polite and helpful. Our room was clean with a comfortable bed. The leisure facilities were nice to relax in after a long drive but the jacuzzi could have been hotter.
We had a nice snack in the lounge at night time and the atmosphere was quite layed back.
Breakfast was a standard buffet but with the deal we got we could not complain.
