My Journey Started !
When Roger came, I couldn't recognize him ! He looked different than his photo that I saw on the Net...; But it was Roger.
The plan was me & him to go to a little place called Little Washbourne; There should be a pub there where we could have lunch & meeting Patrick...The pub is called HOBNAILS INN.
This photo was taken on the road, going to Little Washbourne, which is on the B 4077 road which is near Tewsbury than Cheltenham.
Hence this photo was taken on the highway A 435.
Well, you must have the map of the area to know these roads...
More Than Just Racing, But............
Cheltenham and I have had a long, long association: from my old hitch-hiking days, and, more recent; train-connection days; restaurants eaten in; walkabouts and people.
Yep, the "Regency" Cheltners is well worth a visit.
Apart from the Georgian buildings, some excellent restaurants and bars, The Girls School (Of course!), there is also a major horse racecourse just outside town.
Cheltners is also famous for GCHQ, but any further info will probably result in my immediate arrest AND DEFINITELY NO PHOTOGRAPHS!
And so back to the racecourse:
Cheltenham racecourse is home to two of the most famous meets in the country - "The Cheltenham Festival" in March and "The Open Meeting" in November,
I've seen a couple of other people's viewpoints about this and they complain about the crowds, about having to queue for everything, traffic problems......and etc.
Ach, such is life!
Go to Cheltners on a busy race day and relax, enjoy the busyness, that's part and parcel of the whole experience!
