Cotswold Farm Park
The Cotswold Farm Park in Guiting Power is a perfect place to take visiting children.
When my sister visited me in October 2001, I took her and the kids to the Cotswold Farm Park. We ate lunch first (having learned that hungry children are cranky children), and then went in. We rode the tractor hay ride, the kids drove toy tractors, and we walked around to see all the animals. Last year when we did this you could buy food for the animals, go into the pens, and feed them. This year, thanks to foot and mouth, you can't touch any animal with cloven hoofs (goats, cows, sheep, pigs), let alone feed them but I'm sure that feeding them is now possible.
The Farm Park is one place where the rare domestic breeds of cattle, sheep and other farm animals are preserved.
