Noel Arms Hotel: An unexpected pleasure

As quite often happens on my work trips, the driver of the tour coach, namely myself, doesn't always get to stay in the same luxury accommodation as the clients. While they got to say in the luxury of Charingworth Manor, I was initially disappointed to be farmed out to the Noel Arms Hotel.

I could not have been more pleasantly surprised and I was actually glad not to be staying in the stuffy, slightly pompous and remote manor with the clients.

The Noel Arms Hotel is right in the middle of Chipping Campden High Street and at first glance could be mistaken for a local pub, indeed the hotel bar has all the warm atmosphere of a friendly "local" with an outside seating area in a quaint courtyard.

Service from all the staff was fantastic, the rooms spacious and immaculate. My only criticism is that the free WIFI was a bit unpredictable and shaky at times. It was especially frustrating as you cannot get a 4G, 3G or even a GPRS signal in the middle of The Cotswolds.

Home Farm: Slightly off the beaten path

Home Farm is a great B & B two miles from Chipping Campden in the village of Ebrington. It is still a working farm, but has been in the accommodations business for about eight years. They do a fine job. The old home is clean and updated with tidy rooms. There is also a self-catering cottage in the back. The Stanley family has been here for several generations, and they are friendly and helpful hosts.

Great view of the surrounding countryside from the back of the property. Safe and secure location with plenty of parking.

The price was pretty good, and we got a discount for staying more than two consecutive days.

The Bramley House: Fine people

Our hosts here were very nice people. They welcomed us into their home and were very helpful. Our room was clean and comfortable. I would recommend this B&B to others. It was outside of town, so it was quiet, but within walking distance. There was a nice view out the back window of a large field.

I liked the water kettle in the bedroom with the assortment of teas and coffee with biscuits. It was nice to relax and have a cup of tea in the room.

Marnic House B&B: Best B&B in Broad Campden

Just outside Chipping Camden on the road to Stow you will find the little village of Broad Campden. One road in, one road out. Marnic House is a delightful B&B situated on the road in. Very clean, full English breakfast, quiet rooms, peaceful setting, delightful host.
A non-smoking establishment.
Enjoyed our stay very much

Janet, the proprietess was a lovely lady who made us feel right at home. She has a beautiful garden in back and a nicely appointed sitting room and breakfast room. The bedroom was warm, cozy and nicely furnished. A plus, her husband runs a car service to Heathrow Airport and back so you can make connections easily if you desire.
