"Stow on the Wold - stop 2"

Our second stop on the Cotswolds day out was in Stow on the Wold which is another pretty village with the usual array of gift shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants and pretty houses/buildings.
It is the highest town in the Cotswolds which was once famous for its sheep market and was the site for a major battle of the English Civil War in 1646. Today it boasts a beautiful old market square and is famous for its antiques trade.
From Stow, one can visit the neighbouring villages of Upper and Lower Slaughter and maybe walk between the two.

You will have difficulty in finding most of them because you have to remember that thay are artisan products and many are only sold on the farm or a local village shop.
