Jurys Inn Heathrow: Free Bus Ride from Heathrow
We arrived at Heathrow from Chicago at 10:20 p.m. on a Saturday night. After a quick check through Passport Control and a minimal stay at the baggage carrousel we went out to the Central Bus Terminal (don't take the Hop-A-Bus) and got on Bus #285 to Hatton Cross stop. After about a 10 minute ride we arrived at our destination. The walk from the bus stop to the hotel was less then a block.
Took our first lift ride which needed a key to get onto (good security measures there) and then also needed the key in the slot just inside the front door to turn the lights and air on (took a little while to figure this out, but again a good green initiative.
Bed was comfortable, bathroom and shower were adequate and at only 55 pounds per night was a good deal for our first night in town before our Tube Trip in the morning into London. Restaurant on site as well as a lounge area which we did not use.
Hotel was also walking distance to the Hatton Cross Tube station where after about a 50 minute trip we were in Central London.
The Bus #285 goes to the first few stops around the airport for free including the Hatton Cross stop where the Jury Inn is located.
